Running down the winding staircase, the group couldn't have been faster to knock down the barricade that was hindering them from progressing further. The footsteps of the psycho echoed across the room, with a giggling sound that brought sheer terror to the survivors' hearts.
As the barricade came crashing down with a loud thud, the group charged to the windows, picking up items from the barricade such as tables and chairs, hitting the glass with them, only producing slight cracks in the glass. It was a useless effort and with the snickering maniac close behind them, they charged back to the automatic doors they had entered through. They realised they wouldn't open without the power on. Unfortunately, the killer wasn't far behind. They didn't have time to try and get out, instead they had to run.
"Over there!" shouted Shaun in a panicked state, pointing towards the area behind sets of tills. It was storage space. It was like a maze made out of crates and forty foot high shelves. They group ran, jumping over the tills and into the labyrinth.

The group split up into three, Matt and Kassi, Daniel and Chloe, and Shaun on his own. The group thought it would be easy to hide if there were less of them.
Daniel and Chloe ran, taking a left and just kept on running until they got to the end of the shelves, taking a right. They knew they would probably be going in circles, but they knew it would be safer than just standing in one spot. Eventually, they came to a halt. They had ran towards the very back of the crates but unfortunately for them, they had come to a dead end. Fortunately though, this dead end had a special surprise for them.
Shaun had a similar idea to Chloe and Daniel, he realised that it wasn't safe staying in one area. He instead climbed the shelves. He knew he would have a bird's eye view of the area around him, meaning he could dodge the psycho and help his friends.
Matt and Kassi had a different plan. Instead of running, they were going to climb the shelves and ambush the woman who had killed their friends by pushing a crate on her. Matt had just given Kassi a boost up when the killer turned the corner.
"Knock knock!" the woman laughed, still giggling manically.
"Matt! Grab my hand!" screamed Kassi.
Matt reached out but he couldn't hold on, his hands were too slippery to get any grip. The psycho approached closer to Matt. Kassi was screaming, feeling helpless. A noise came in from the distance.
*CRASH!*
Riding a forklift through a set of shelves, Chloe impaled the killer through the chest and in to the wall.
"PEEK-A-BOO BITCH!!!" Chloe shouted at their tormenter.
Dropping the knife, the psycho flinched in pain, unable to move. Dropping off the back of the forklift, Daniel appeared, picking up the knife from the floor. He walked over to the woman.
"...Why did the chicken cross the road..." she gasped before Daniel stabbed her in the neck, blood running down his arm.
"To kill the whore on the other side" he replied.

The group waited for Shaun to re-emerge, the loud sound of the crash should have alerted him unless he was deaf, until they tried anything. The first thing they did was search through her pockets, looking for anything that might prove useful to them. The first thing they found was an Ikea staff ID card.
"Samantha Wall, born on the 11th of March, 1987. Mechanic. Well that explains how she knew where the power generators were" said Shaun "Speaking of which, we need to turn it back on if we want to get out of here."
"Also explains how the forklift was working. The EMP should have knocked that out. She must have changed some of the parts to get it working again" continued Daniel.
"Ok, I'll go find the power circuits and switch them on again. You lot go wait by the doors."
"Ok Shaun" said Kassi.

After Shaun managed to turn the power back on again, the group went back outside, never more glad to be in the wasteland rather than in shelter. The group took a different route going back, as to dodge the cannibal campsite. The road where they were walking down gave Chloe an idea.
"Why don't we go back to the library? Me and Matt could get our bags and see if there's anybody there who needs help."
"Sounds like a plan!" said Daniel with anticipation in his eyes.
