The group gathered up their stuff and left the rescue centre quickly, time was not their friend in this situation. Grabbing his knife, Daniel started to speak.
"Out of the frying pan..." he said, truer words could not be spoken at the current moment.
As they left, the survivors knew that about four others had been taken from the rescue centre, all of them were either female or well built males. The pattern was clear. These "raiders" were taking people they deemed useful to them. Slaves of all sorts. It was extremely important that they saved them as soon as possible.

The group headed down Darnton Road, the way Daniel and Shannon had gone before to save his little brother. However, this time the group would venture even further down the long road. The scenery around the road had changed even more in the past three weeks since Daniel had seen it. The fires of destruction had died down leaving the ruins of war in their wake. The trees had become sharp and blackened by the blast, completely unrecognisable compared to the springtime landscape the group had seen only one hour before the bomb.
"They used to talk about World War Three being the most destructive thing we'd ever see" said Kassi, her voice in a slight sense of awe "I never could have imagined it being like this though."

As the group got closer to the road that would lead them onto the Ridgehill estate, the group saw figures in the distance, holding pipes and large knives. Ducking behind burnt out cars, the group planned out their next move.
"Do we sneak around them?" Chloe said.
"Maybe, how many are there?" replied Daniel.
"Two... wait... no three- four!" Matt answered, surprised at the number of raiders in front of them "That's way too many; we'll never make it through alive!"
"No, if we just rush in there we'll never make it" said Shaun "We have to plan a way through, kill them if we need to."
"Has anyone actually noticed how willing we are to murder?" said Kassi.
"It's kill or be killed now..." replied Daniel "We need to survive to save those we love, no matter the cost. The only killing that's wrong now is the needless bloodshed for pleasure."
The group split up, hiding behind various vehicles nearby in an effort to stay invisible. The plan was now in action.
