Ruby Red - Chapter 7"The Seal can't be broken. Kassi's still standing on the water" Chris said, confused as to what his friend meant by his previous statement.

"Not that Seal. A different one" Daniel said, staring at his trembling hand. Kassi then ran towards him.

"Daniel, how can it be broken, I thought it was permanent" she asked.

"Maybe because we stopped him part way through"

"What are you guys talking about!?!? Who are you talking about!?!?" Chris asked, shouting at the pair.

"Chris, six months ago, something bad happened to us. Something we thought we'd never recover from"

Ruby Red - Chapter 6The night had been long and wonderful. Chris hadn't slept a wink after learning about his new abilities, spending the remaining dark hours researching about his enemies using the book Daniel kept with him. He wondered how Daniel was able to sleep so peacefully, knowing all about the things that lurked in the dark. He read up on many things, the first sightings of the demons, the first Hunter and the discovery of Purifiers.

As the sun rose in the distance, Daniel awoke him from his slumber.

"Good morning Chris. Take it you didn't sleep" Daniel commented as he saw him sitting at the desk with his head in the book.
