"Okay Pidgey, what moves do you know?" asked Daniel.

Pidgey then rose to the air, flapping its wings furiously as a large amount of wind gathered up, hitting the Vulpix and Growlithe below.

"Whoa, that Gust is pretty powerful" commented Shaun "Okay, Raichu, use Iron Tail"

"RAI!" shouted the Pokémon, nodding its head. It then charged at the Vulpix, its tail starting to shimmer as it turned in to a glowing white. As the attack drew closer, Growlithe charged towards Raichu.

"Growlithe, use Fire Fang!" shouted Matt.

Growlithe's teeth then started to glow red as it charged its attack. Unfortunately, it missed its attack when Pidgey swooped down, blocking its move. Vulpix was then hit by Raichu, sending it across the field in a daze.

"Growlithe, use Helping Hand on Vulpix" called Matt again. The Growlithe then helped Vulpix as it lent some of its power to the fox-type Pokémon.

"Oh crap, they can work together" commented Shaun as his eyes slightly widened.

"Can't we?" said Daniel, looking at Shaun who simply stared at him "Oh yeah... we can't..."

"Now Vulpix, use Payback on Raichu" ordered Kassi.

"Payback? What does that move do?" asked Daniel.

"I'll check my Pokédex" said Shaun.

"Payback is a move that pays back for an attack" commented the Pokédex on the situation.

"Well that was helpful" said Shaun, sliding it back into his hat.

"How much stuff do you keep in there?" asked Daniel.

"Infinite amounts, I produce hammer space" he replied, looking Daniel clearly in the eyes.

"And on that note, I think we're royally fucked" Daniel said, looking at the charging Vulpix. Vulpix then jumped at Raichu, headbutting it in the face.

"Oh crap"

"Growlithe, use Fire Spin against Pidgey" shouted Matt.

"Growl growl!!!" the Growlithe sounded as it blew a ring of Fire against the small bird. The Pidgey desperately tried to blow the ensuing flames away but was unsuccessful as the flames made it pass out.

"Crap, they're strong together" said Daniel, amazed at the fighting power of the Young Couple.

"That's where people like them are good; they always train together so they find the best ways of fighting together" replied Shaun, also astounded by their synchronization.

"What about people like us?" asked Daniel.

"Well, it's kind of like a Seviper and Zangoose trying to make a cake. Never gonna happen without a fight"

"You're a real pessimist, aren't you?"

"Oh definitely"

"Hey, are you two going to send out your other Pokémon or is this the end of your battle?" called Kassi as she stroked her Vulpix's head.

"Well put it this way, we don't battle to lose" said Daniel, smirking as he pulled out his other Pokéball after calling his Pidgey back "Go Piplup!!!"

"Same here, out you come Bulbasaur!" said Shaun, throwing his Pokéball into the air.

"Hmmm, interesting Pokémon you have. This should be fun" said Matt as his Growlithe smiled at the two starter Pokémon.

"Shaun, I got a plan on how to beat of them" whispered Daniel.

After a few seconds, Shaun nodded his head and turned to his Bulbasaur.

"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip and pull Vulpix and Growlithe into the air"

The grass-type did so, wrapping the vines around the two fire-types bodies before lifting them above the ground. The two Pokémon flailed as they tried to free themselves from the attack before their trainers issued them orders.

"Use Flamethrower!" shouted Matt and Kassi in unison, prompting their Pokémon to also do the same. Charging up their attack, the two started to breathe fire down on the Bulbasaur.

"Piplup, counter with Water Gun!" shouted Daniel. Piplup then did so, jumping in front of the oncoming inferno before shooting a stream of water into it. The two elements started to clash, the water was putting out the flames but at the same time the flames were evaporating the water. The two forces were at a mid point, each team of trainers encouraging their own Pokémon to win the battle. It wasn't until the two fire-types started to exhaust that Piplup was able to gain the upper hand. The water collided with the two, knocking them out instantly.

"Oh no! Vulpix! Growlithe! Are you okay?" asked Kassi, cuddling the two as Bulbasaur laid them down on the ground before placing the Pokéball in front of her Vulpix, Matt doing the same to his Growlithe "Return"

"Wow! We won our first battle!" said Daniel, placing his hand in the air for a high five only to get rejected as Shaun walked passed him, draining the very happiness from his body as he did so.

"Wait, we still have two more!" said Matt "Go Nidoran!"

"Go Nidoran!" said Kassi also revealing the couple to have a Nidoran Male (Matt's) and a Nidoran Female (Kassi's).

"Wow these guys go really all the way to show that they're a couple, what do you think Daniel?" asked Shaun turning to Daniel so was sitting on the floor, curled into a ball.

"I can only feel sadness..." said Daniel, looking at the ground as his joy had exited his body.

"That's nice"

"Okay Nidoran, use Poison Sting!" called the couple. However, the Nidoran had different plans in mind.

"Oh. My. God." said Shaun as the couple started to scream.

"What's going on?" asked Daniel as his Piplup jumped onto him, covering his head on Daniel's leg.

"Well you ever wondered how Pokémon eggs appear at the Daycare centres?"

"Ummm... yeah, why?"

"Well I think we just figured out how... and why the owners never say how..."

"You mean-"

"Yep"

"Are they-"

"They're going hard"

-----

After Daniel had been shocked back into reality by a glimpse of the two Pokémon attempting to make Eggs, the Young Couple took control and returned their Pokémon to their Pokéballs and admitted defeat to the other trainers, handing over some cash as a parting gift.

"Do you mind if we swap Pokégear numbers so we can keep in contact with each and arrange battles if we're near each other?" asked Kassi.

"You're not going to call me every two seconds are you? And "that" isn't going to happen again is it?" Daniel asked, realising he had sixteen missed calls off Bug Catcher Lee.

"No to both of them questions, we're going to train them not to do "that" again, especially in middle of a battle"

"Well sure then. Also, if you can, there's a Bug Catcher in Viridian Forest. If he comes out here, can you toast him with your fire-type Pokémon. We would be really grateful if you did"

"What? Do you mean Lee?"

"Wha- You know him too!"

"Unfortunately..." she replied, showing her Pokégear which also had sixteen missed calls off him as they traded numbers "So in answer to your question, yes, happily. He will suffer in the flames of a thousand hell fires for the numerous calls he has made which has interrupted our undying love for each other" she said, her face turning angry and bitter at the very thought of the Bug Catcher.

"Whoa, that was dark"

"Kassi-kins, calm down. He'll get what's coming to him" Matt said, producing an evil, inhuman grin at the very thoughts of Lee's demise.

"Let's get the hell out of here" said Shaun as his face showed a shred of fear of the two love birds.
Daniel and Shaun continue their fight between Young Couple Matt and Kassi but things never go to plan

Bad horny Nidorans! And they're only babies, heaven knows what they'll be like once they've evolved xDDD
Shaun is so creepy, sapping the joy out of the world, that might come in handy at some point x3
And I love how everyone just detests that bug catcher, he must just sit there in the forest making calls constantly, not even stopping to wonder why no one ever picks up xP
